Overview

A postgraduate funding opportunity for outstanding scholars from selected countries with no other means of financing their studies. Awards are structured as a 50% grant and 50% loan, covering tuition and living expenses.

  • Excellent academic records
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training/professional experience
  • Demonstrate genuine financial need
  • Demonstrate a thoughtful, reliable, multi-source funding plan that covers all years of study
  • Be admitted to a reputable postgraduate institution
  • Be starting the first year of the programme
  • Have strong leadership potential, professional experience, extracurricular and/or entrepreneurial achievements, and volunteer contributions
  • A guarantor is required to co-sign the award agreement
  • Applicants in Canada, Portugal, and the USA must be originally from one of the listed eligible countries

Funding coverage

  • 50% grant and 50% loan
  • Covers tuition expenses and student living expenses
  • Master's scholarships granted for the entire duration of the degree
  • PhD scholarships awarded for the first two years
