1. Who this applies to

This policy explains how Makarios Global Business Consult Limited, trading as Makarios Consultancy ("Oblanky", "we", "us"), collects and uses personal data when you use the Oblanky website and application. Our contact details are on our contact page.

2. What we collect

• Account details: name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text).
• Academic profile data you provide: nationality, qualifications, GPA, field of study, degree level, and preferred countries, used to match you with scholarships.
• Documents you upload for expert review or AI-assisted feedback (e.g. CV, SOP, transcripts).
• Payment and billing information — collected and stored entirely by Paddle, our payment processor; we never see or store your card details.
• Usage data such as pages visited and features used, to improve the Service.

3. How we use it

• To match you with scholarships and generate your eligibility report.
• To process payments and manage your Premium Membership or expert-service orders.
• To send account, deadline, and (if you opt in) new-scholarship notifications.
• To provide AI-assisted document review and strategy features you request.
• To maintain the security and reliability of the Service.

4. Who we share it with

We share data only where necessary to run the Service: with Paddle.com Market Limited to process payments (as our merchant of record); with the AI providers we use to generate report content and document feedback; and with the human experts who review documents or conduct strategy sessions you've purchased. We do not sell your personal data.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your account and academic profile data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period after deletion to meet legal and accounting obligations (including transaction records Paddle requires us to retain).

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain uses of it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us via our contact page.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures — including encrypted connections and hashed passwords — to protect your data. No system is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's privacy

Oblanky is intended for prospective and current university students. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required by your local law), and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date.
