How Oblanky Verifies Scholarship Information
What “verified” means—and what applicants should still confirm
Scholarship information changes. Deadlines move, annual programmes reopen, and eligibility wording can be revised by the provider. Oblanky is designed to make those changes easier to understand without pretending that any database can replace the final official rules.
Official information comes first
Oblanky prioritizes the university, government, foundation, research institution or funding body responsible for an opportunity. Discovery websites can help identify a programme, but they do not automatically make a record verified. When sources disagree, current official information takes priority.
What Oblanky checks
Where the provider publishes the evidence, Oblanky structures the opportunity’s degree level, host country, eligible nationalities, academic requirements, field restrictions, funding, application status, deadline and official application route. We distinguish confirmed requirements from missing information. Missing evidence is shown as “Needs confirmation”; it is not silently treated as a pass or a failure.
How eligibility explanations work
The eligibility engine compares a user’s profile with verified rules. An explicit mismatch—such as an excluded nationality or incompatible degree level—must outweigh softer similarities. A profile match score describes alignment with known requirements. It is not a probability of winning and never guarantees an award or admission.
Deadlines and recurring programmes
Confirmed past deadlines are removed from active matching. Recurring programmes can retain a useful information page while Oblanky waits for evidence of the next cycle. Oblanky does not invent a future deadline.
What applicants should do
Use Oblanky to identify relevant opportunities, understand why they fit, and spot questions that still need confirmation. Before applying, open the official provider link, read the current conditions and follow the official application instructions. The scholarship provider—not Oblanky—makes eligibility, admission and award decisions.
If you find information that appears to have changed, contact Oblanky support so it can be rechecked.
